Girl Scout Troop 2692, who won $1,000 at the SLANT 45 Kids Bowl Bash to continue their service-learning projects, has completed several new projects including volunteering at the Earth Day Dallas celebration and holding their our own Earth Day event at T.L. Marsalis Elementary School in Dallas.  The girls created helpful information packets regarding water conservation, recycling and “cease the grease” (proper ways to dispose of cooking oil) at their Girl Scout meeting and passed them out to parents and students. The troop also participated in a graffiti workshop hosted by Dallas City Council member Delia Jasso and Mayor Dwaine Caraway.
